Challenges pre-Bynder
With the explosive growth of creative and visual content in today's digital-first economy, Veracode's marketing team struggled to maintain brand consistency across a variety of touchpoints while scaling content production and remaining competitive.
Before Bynder, Veracode’s previous content creation process involved storing digital assets in various locations, with no way to track which assets were the most up-to-date versions or which ones were out of circulation. The team lacked oversight into version control, struggled with decentralized storage, and had little brand governance meaning that incorrect assets often found their way into distribution channels.

As a global powerhouse in the industry, there was naturally a high demand for content. When making small requests for asset adjustments or changes, it could sometimes take a whole week for a number of small tasks to be completed. This created an incredibly frustrating situation that slowed down time-to-market and bottlenecked production workflows. Veracode wanted to ensure stakeholders could easily make the changes they needed while staying on brand.

Bynder’s Studio module has given Veracode employees the ability to create their own assets without needing input from creative teams. The use of templates provides an approved framework from which content can be quickly created from an initial brief. Tedious, repetitive tasks like creating multi-size designs or bulk edits are automated, allowing Veracode to not only save designers’ time but also scale the entire content creation process.
We have 14 visual branded graphic style variations for our content at the moment, and each one has 92 variations that can be used depending on the distribution channel and use case.
Veracode’s Studio template library boasts over 1,000 individual approved templates that can be used to create on-brand assets. Instead, individuals can create their own content quickly safe in the knowledge that it will be of sufficient quality to meet brand standards. Studio has the potential to house thousands of on-brand design variations, all usable without a designer's direct involvement, so Veracode believes its growth potential is significant.

Self-service for diverse paid and social advertising is crucial for several reasons: the financial savings are substantial for the marketing team, and the convenience for marketing managers of not having to wait sometimes weeks for design collateral to be produced by busy designers is invaluable.
Brand Guidelines has introduced this high level of governance to the Veracode content creation process, without creating additional feedback loops or workflow-hampering approval processes. Instead, coupled with Studio, stakeholders can create on-brand content at scale that meets the demands of a global technology brand by telling complex stories that engage with audiences while communicating a strong brand identity.
