Why is Inspire Brands a winner?
The organization has fully leveraged Bynder’s open and composable solution to take advantage of a best-of-breed martech stack. Inspire Brands' strategic integration of Bynder with Contentful and Salesforce, has streamlined content management and customer relationship management processes across its portfolio of brands. Bynder accelerated its digital transformation by uniting each of its iconic sub-brands, enabling cross-team collaboration and the delivery of exceptional content experiences to each and every customer.
Inspire Brands came out on top due to its number of unified and streamlined technologies and brands. The complexity inherent in housing multiple brands under one roof and the flow of content described between CMS, DAM, and syndication/PIM platforms is the perfect definition of digital transformation.— Andy Didyk, SVP Sales and Marketing at Ntara
Challenges pre-Bynder
Inspire Brands' journey towards digital transformation began with the realization of the need to centralize, simplify, and automate asset management processes due to the high volume of assets generated from integrating six restaurant brands (Arby's, Jimmy John's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Rusty Taco, Dunkin’, Sonic, and Baskin-Robbins).
Anytime we started to play with the digital product team, we were playing with things that if you mess them up and we lose sales for a lunch rush, then the whole world falls apart real quick.— Christopher Phillips, Vice President – Managing Director at Maverick Studios (In-house creative agency)
The ownership of six iconic household names came with the weight of managing six different sets of brand assets and ensuring that they all met the same high-quality standards that customers expected. The organization wanted to store digital assets in a system of record that could be connected to its wider martech stack to streamline content management and customer relationship management processes across its portfolio of brands. Investing in a best-of-breed martech stack was essential to breaking down siloed sub-brand teams and empowering them to accelerate time to market and maximize ROI.
Bynder’s impact
Inspire Brands’ big strategic goal for 2024 and beyond is to expand its current international footprint and introduce new brands to the global market. Using its rich content library in Bynder DAM, Inspire Brands maximizes the value of existing brand assets originally created for the U.S. market by localizing them for use in new markets without additional production costs. Bynder's Brand Guidelines creates a digital home for each sub-brand identity, creating a layer of governance and control to ensure that as content is reused, it remains on-brand.
Known internally as "The Vault," the team at Inspire has positioned its Bynder DAM at the heart of its digital transformation efforts.
Now we can start to truly scale each of those verticals to serve the brands and to serve all of Inspire.
The organization effectively utilizes AI search within Bynder to facilitate efficient and accurate content discovery across tens of thousands of branded assets. By leveraging AI-powered recommendations and filtering options, Inspire Brands can quickly locate and distribute relevant assets across its portfolio of sub-brands. This new level of findability has promoted content reuse within the organization and increased the value of the assets that Inspire Brands invests in.
The introduction of The Vault has improved the relationship between Inspire Brands and its external agency partners. By creating raw footage and other content internally, and then positioning it for use by external partners, the brand has saved itself significant financial investment whilst still being able to leverage creative agency power.
We went to some of our restaurant locations and shot a large amount of B roll footage that we then uploaded to The Vault. Our agencies reached out and asked if they could use it. Previously, they would have shot that footage themselves for TV spots and then charged us for it.
Inspire Brands’ digital transformation efforts are underlined by its integration of Bynder with other leading tools to create a truly best-of-breed martech stack. Integrating with headless CMS Contentful and PXM platform Salsify has enabled the organization's portfolio of sub-brands to distribute brand-specific content experiences at scale. Bynder's Dynamic Asset Transformation (DAT) optimizes the delivery of these assets according to each individual channel, visitor, and device's characteristics. Creating and delivering content to new markets, whilst strengthening its brand’s presence at ‘home’, Inspire Brands can reach more customers and drive growth across the board.
We’re so grateful and encouraged to receive the Digital Transformation Award. With six brands under one roof, having ‘The Vault’ at the center of our content supply chain has made it possible to realize our vision for Inspire Brands and deliver best-in-class marketing. This recognition truly validates our efforts and energizes the entire team.
